KUWAIT CITY — The Ministry of Social Affairs has established eight audit committees to examine the operations and financial accounts of eight cooperative societies, ministry sources confirmed on May 17. The committees have been tasked with conducting comprehensive reviews to verify adherence to established financial and administrative procedures within these cooperatives.
According to the sources, the audits aim to identify any irregularities or violations in the management of the cooperatives’ affairs. Should any discrepancies be discovered, the ministry has indicated that strict action will be taken, including the implementation of appropriate legal measures against those found responsible.
Once the audit process is completed, the committees will submit detailed reports outlining their findings. These reports will be carefully evaluated to determine whether any infractions occurred and to guide subsequent responses.
The ministry’s move to deploy these audit committees underscores its commitment to ensuring transparency and accountability in the management of cooperative societies operating within Kuwait.
