Nestle (M) Bhd announced the appointment of Minjie Janet Gu as its executive director and chief financial officer, effective February 1, 2027. Gu will succeed Syed Saiful Islam, who is being reassigned to another Nestle market to assume a new role.

Gu brings more than two decades of finance experience, with over 18 years spent within various Nestle operations across Oceania and Asia. Currently, she serves as the regional CFO and head of finance and control for Nestle Professional Asia, Oceania, and Africa, where she manages financial oversight and control functions across several markets.

Before her current position, Gu was the head of corporate finance and decision support for Nestle Oceania from 2020 to 2023, a role that encompassed responsibilities in Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands. Her appointment reflects Nestle’s continued emphasis on leveraging experienced leadership to navigate its financial strategy across diverse regions.
