Six hikers, including two children, who were reported missing during an expedition on Mount Gerah in Kelantan, were found safe and arrived yesterday at Trojan Jetty in Lake Temenggor, Gerik, Perak.

The group consisted of Wan Ahmad Aslam Wan Zairudin, 39, his wife Siti Zulaiha Norizan, 39, their children Diya Raisha, 13, and Ahmad Raef, nine, as well as two guides, Shafiee Sidek, 49, and Hazman Mamat, 43.

The six had embarked on the Trans Gerah Expedition on August 29 but were reported missing after failing to return by September 3. Search efforts were launched following concerns for their safety.

Authorities confirmed that all members of the group arrived safely at the designated landing point, ending several days of uncertainty. No further details were immediately available regarding the circumstances that led to their delay or the actions taken during the search and rescue operation.
