A mobile medical team delivered healthcare services to 808 ethnic residents in Mongmao Township, Wa Special Region 2, Shan State (North), on July 30. The outreach initiative was conducted under the supervision of the Ministry of Health and involved collaboration between the Pangsang Township Public Health Department, the Wa Health Department, and partner organizations.

During the mission, 151 individuals underwent blood testing for HIV, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), hepatitis B and C, dengue fever, and malaria. Additionally, 202 residents received chest X-rays and sputum tests to screen for tuberculosis, with treatment provided as needed.

The team also administered vitamin A supplements, deworming medication, and routine vaccinations to 469 children in the area. Public health education sessions were held to raise awareness of disease prevention and healthy practices. To further support disease control efforts, insecticide-treated mosquito nets were distributed to local households.

This mobile healthcare effort formed part of ongoing measures to enhance medical access and health monitoring in remote ethnic communities within the Wa Special Region.
