Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) honoured 82 students for their exceptional performance in international and Gulf competitions during the 2025-26 academic year. The recognition ceremony took place recently with the presence of HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education Lolwah bint Rashid AlKhater and HE Dr Ibrahim al-Nuaimi, the ministry’s undersecretary.

Maryam al-Muhannadi, Director of the Public Relations and Communication Department, emphasized that these competitions serve as valuable platforms for students to showcase the knowledge and skills they have acquired through their education and training. She characterized the awards as a tribute to the students’ dedication, discipline, and perseverance, while also acknowledging the essential support provided by families, teachers, supervisors, and schools.

The ministry highlighted the achievements of students from both the government and private school sectors, underlining the collaborative efforts within Qatar’s education system to identify and cultivate talented individuals. These efforts enable students to represent Qatar at regional and international levels.

Al-Muhannadi further noted the ministry’s ongoing commitment to supporting high-achieving students and fostering an environment that motivates others to engage in educational pursuits and seek similar successes.

The ceremony featured a video presentation showcasing the students’ participation and accomplishments in various competitions. Attendees included school administrators, parents, and representatives from academic and educational institutions.

The ministry reaffirmed its dedication to advancing students’ knowledge, skills, and confidence in alignment with the goals set forth in the Qatar National Vision 2030.
