Twelve diplomats from Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) have completed the Executive Master’s Program in Diplomacy and International Cooperation, marking a key milestone in the ongoing development of the country’s diplomatic corps. The graduation ceremony took place recently at the Sheraton Hotel in Doha under the patronage of HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani.
This event represented the culmination of the 10th cohort of the program, which is offered through a collaboration between MoFA’s Diplomatic Institute and the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI). The initiative is designed to enhance the skills of Qatari diplomats in areas such as diplomacy, international relations, policy-making, and global cooperation.
Attended by a range of dignitaries, senior officials, members of the diplomatic and academic communities, as well as family members of the graduates, the ceremony highlighted the academic achievements and professional dedication demonstrated by the participants throughout their studies.
Dr Abdulaziz al-Horr, Director of the Diplomatic Institute, emphasized that the program underscores the Ministry’s commitment to investing in national human capital. He noted that training qualified diplomats is essential to Qatar’s ability to represent its interests effectively on the global stage.
Graduates expressed pride in their accomplishment and acknowledged the support they received from the Ministry in fostering national talent. They also reaffirmed their dedication to advancing Qatar’s diplomatic objectives and furthering the country’s role in international affairs.
