Qatar’s Ministry of Justice (MoJ), in collaboration with Qatar Television, has launched a new programme titled “Rule of Law” aimed at raising legal awareness among citizens and residents. The initiative is part of a broader effort to promote understanding of legal rights, responsibilities, and procedures that affect daily life.

The first season of the programme will consist of 16 episodes featuring a range of legal professionals, including lawyers, academics, and specialists. Its content is designed to be accessible and interactive, simplifying complex legal concepts to better inform the community. The series covers a diverse array of topics such as patient rights, healthcare-related legal responsibilities, tenancy and real estate matters, contracts and agency law, as well as labour and employment rights.

Additionally, the programme will address family law issues including personal status and inheritance, along with consumer protection and commercial transactions. Reflecting the increasing importance of digital issues, episodes will explore cybersecurity, digital extortion, privacy concerns, data protection, and the safe use of social media platforms.

Other topics include insurance, loans, mortgages, dispute resolution methods such as mediation and arbitration, children’s rights, family protection, and legal liabilities in business. The programme also aims to engage viewers by offering opportunities to ask questions, facilitating direct interaction between legal experts and the public.

This initiative aligns with the objectives of the Qatar National Vision 2030, which emphasizes the development of a just society based on knowledge and respect for the rule of law. By leveraging national media, the Ministry of Justice seeks to foster a culture that values legal awareness and strengthens the community’s access to reliable legal information.
