The ministry outlined that this measure aims to stabilize the national workforce within government bodies by reducing job mobility and providing more opportunities for fresh job applicants.

Ammar bin Salim al Saad, Director-General of the Directorate-General of Labor and spokesperson for the Labour Affairs Sector, emphasized that the policy is designed to ensure equitable chances for all job candidates and support Omanisation goals. Omanisation refers to the government's ongoing efforts to increase the employment of Omani nationals in positions traditionally held by expatriates.

The Ministry of Labour highlighted that this initiative forms part of the gradual implementation of Omanisation strategies, with new job vacancies being announced on Saturdays in coordination with relevant government agencies.
