Model Mona Tougaard stars in the latest campaign film for Italian luxury brand Tod’s, showcasing its "Italian Stories" collection. The 32-second spot was filmed at a villa characterized by pale yellow walls, green shutters, and a curved pool set within a manicured lawn, seamlessly blending color and black-and-white footage.

Tougaard, whose heritage includes Danish, Turkish, Somali, and Ethiopian roots, appears early in the film wearing a distinctive camel cotton trench coat designed in two layers: a short, wide-shouldered cape buttoned over a longer belted coat tied at the waist. The coat is paired with a cream shirt, chocolate brown leather trousers, knee-high brown leather boots, and a black leather tote accented with burnished tobacco trim, a gold buckle strap, and the Tod’s logo spelled out in gold block letters. Another scene features her indoors in a mustard knit sweater layered over a pale blue shirt with a rounded collar, her hair styled loosely. She is also shown walking past the villa in black-and-white footage, clad in the same trench coat.

The campaign includes three additional models, two of whom are male and display pieces from the brand’s menswear line. Featured items include brown suede lace-up shoes, suede sneakers, and black leather loafers finished with Tod’s signature rubber pebble soles. Accessories such as gold-framed aviator sunglasses and the tan grained-leather Di Bag, positioned on a red table alongside a collie, received close-up attention.

"Italian Stories" serves as Tod’s longstanding campaign platform, drawing inspiration from scenes of Italian family and country life. The house remains under the creative direction of Matteo Tamburini.

Tougaard was discovered at age 12 and began modeling after winning Elite Model Look Denmark at 15. She opened her career as a Prada exclusive in 2019 and has since walked for numerous notable fashion houses including Dior, Versace, Saint Laurent, Schiaparelli, Mugler, and Alberta Ferretti. In 2024, she received a nomination for Model of the Year at the Fashion Awards and has graced the covers of British Vogue and Vogue Italia. This is not Tougaard’s first collaboration with Tod’s; she previously fronted the brand’s pre-fall campaign. In addition, she recently appeared in Chanel’s revived Coco Crush jewelry campaign, shot at Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont.
