Selangor will hold twenty events from September 28 to November 1 to celebrate Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah’s 25 years on the throne, with activities focused on community, heritage, sports, and spirituality. The main highlight is scheduled for October 25 at Istana Alam Shah in Klang, commemorating the 25th anniversary of Sultan Sharafuddin’s rule. This event will feature several formal ceremonies such as a guard of honour inspection with a 21-gun salute, a proclamation of titles and oath-taking ceremony, and the conferment of state awards and honors.

Additional events throughout the jubilee period include the launch of the Royal Selangor Polo and Equestrian Club in Cyberjaya, the Sultan of Selangor Silver Jubilee Cup Polo Tournament, an Under-15 football league match, a travel programme involving orphans, and the opening of an autism-friendly park. There will also be a “Larian Kita” run, royal tea ceremonies, a prayer recital, an Islamic forum, and the release of commemorative stamps, a silver coin, and a book titled “Menjulang Takhta.”

The royal tea ceremonies will be held over five sessions, with invited guests ranging from members of the Selangor royal family and civil servants to retirees, investors, orphans, disabled children, and members of the public, Ahmad Fadzli added.

The Sultan is expected to attend most of the planned events or to be represented by the Raja Muda of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah. Also present at the press briefing were Datuk Pengelola Bijaya Diraja Fahrin Asmawi, and Muhammad Hanafi Ahmad, division secretary (management services) of the Selangor State Secretary’s Office.
