Residents across the United Arab Emirates can expect a shift toward cooler and more variable weather conditions over the coming weekend, with increasing cloud cover and a chance of rain primarily affecting the eastern and northern regions, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
Friday will remain warm, featuring fair to partly cloudy skies. Clouds are expected to accumulate over eastern areas throughout the day, potentially bringing isolated showers by the afternoon, though widespread precipitation is unlikely. Humidity levels will rise after sunset, and some coastal and inland areas may experience fog or mist during early Saturday morning.
More unsettled weather is forecast for Saturday, with convective cloud development expected over eastern and northern parts of the country, increasing the likelihood of rainfall in those areas. Temperatures will gradually decline as the day progresses. Sunday is anticipated to continue this trend, with additional convective cloud formation and possible showers in the north and east. The NCM advised individuals planning outdoor activities in these regions to monitor official weather updates closely.
Temperature variations will persist across different areas. Inland regions are projected to record the highest daytime temperatures, ranging between 35°C and 41°C, with overnight lows from 21°C to 26°C. Coastal zones and islands will experience slightly cooler daytime highs of 34°C to 38°C, but nights will remain warmer and more humid, with lows between 25°C and 30°C. Mountainous areas are expected to be the most temperate, with daytime temperatures ranging from 26°C to 32°C and nighttime lows between 19°C and 25°C. Visitors to these elevated regions should remain aware of possible sudden weather changes due to cloud buildup.
Humidity will be notably high during night and early morning hours, reaching up to 90 percent in coastal and inland areas and up to 80 percent in mountainous locations. Daytime humidity is expected to drop sharply, particularly inland, where it may fall to as low as 10 percent. Sea conditions are expected to stay relatively calm throughout the weekend.
