Authorities in North Queensland have discovered a fourth unidentified object believed to have fallen from space, prompting ongoing safety measures in the Forrest Beach area, located north of Townsville. The initial three objects were found on Friday afternoon, with the latest located around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Police have maintained a 50-metre exclusion zone around each site as a precautionary measure while coordinating with other agencies for the removal of the objects. The Queensland Fire Service has assessed and rendered the items safe despite concerns they may contain hazardous chemicals.
A police statement reassured the public that there is no immediate danger to the local community and clarified that no criminal investigation is underway. The exact nature and origin of the objects have not been disclosed, and relevant authorities continue to manage the situation.
