A woman from Westminster appeared at Southwark Crown Court facing allegations of repeatedly assaulting her adult daughter over a nearly decade-long period. Elena Pronina, 70, is accused of dragging her daughter by the hair after a complaint about snoring and engaging in a pattern of abuse from 2016 to 2025.
The prosecution alleges that Pronina assaulted her daughter “almost daily” throughout this period. She faces charges including assault occasioning actual bodily harm and coercive and controlling behaviour. Pronina has denied all the allegations brought against her.
