A motorcyclist known for posting high-speed riding videos on social media has been charged with multiple counts of reckless driving and other offenses in Rhode Island, authorities reported Monday.

Rhode Island State Police arrested 28-year-old Ahmed T. Al Gburi of East Providence following an extensive investigation into his activities on local and regional roadways. Al Gburi, who operates online under the handle BlackHornets1, has amassed a substantial following across several platforms—645,000 followers on Facebook, 284,000 subscribers on YouTube, 355,000 followers on Instagram, and 29,000 followers on TikTok. His accounts frequently feature footage of himself and other motorcyclists speeding through heavy traffic, often pushing speeds beyond 100 miles per hour.

Colonel Darnell S. Weaver, superintendent of the Rhode Island State Police, characterized Al Gburi’s actions as dangerous and disruptive. "Mr. Al Gburi has been terrorizing our highways for months, glorifying reckless driving and broadcasting his exploits on social media," Weaver said in a statement.

Court records indicate that on June 10, charges were filed against Al Gburi, more than three months after the reported incidents. The charges include 29 counts of reckless driving, three counts of eluding law enforcement during a high-speed chase, three counts of street racing, and four counts related to prohibited large-capacity ammunition feeding devices. The latter charges are felonies, while most of the traffic-related offenses are misdemeanors.

Authorities executed a search warrant at Al Gburi’s residence, where they reportedly seized large-capacity ammunition magazines. Details on how these items factored into the investigation have not been fully disclosed.

Al Gburi was arraigned on June 11 at Kent County District Court. He posted a $20,000 surety bond and is currently under home confinement pending further proceedings. His next court appearance for a bail review hearing is scheduled for June 24. As of Tuesday, no attorney had been listed on his behalf, and he did not respond to requests for comment.
