The Ministry of Labour in Oman has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with OneSupply Oman, a subsidiary of Energy Oman, to provide training for 160 Omani job-seekers under the Isnad programme. The initiative forms part of ongoing national efforts to promote sustainable employment and develop qualified national talent.

The agreement was formalized by Khalid bin Salim al Ghammari, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Labour for Labour, and Mazin bin Rashid al Lamki, CEO of Energy Oman. Concurrently, OneSupply Oman also entered into an agreement with the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) to develop and implement the programme. Dr Ali bin Saud al Bimani, Vice-Chancellor of NUST, signed on behalf of the university.

The training initiative is designed to align closely with the labour market’s needs, with a focus on the supply chain and logistics sector—a critical component of Oman’s economic diversification strategy. The programme aims to evaluate sectoral demands, identify employment opportunities, and specify the technical skills required for the workforce.

This collaboration represents a model of public-private partnership aimed at enhancing the employability of Omani youth and ensuring their readiness to join key economic sectors. By equipping job-seekers with relevant expertise, the Isnad programme seeks to support the growth of human capital in line with Oman’s broader economic objectives.
