Outdoor movie screenings have returned to Audi Field in Washington, D.C., offering residents and visitors a unique summer entertainment option. The “Movies on the Pitch” series invites attendees to watch popular films projected on the stadium’s jumbotron while seated directly on the soccer pitch’s turf.

The series runs every Thursday evening through August 20, with gates opening at 7 p.m. and films beginning at 8 p.m. One of the featured titles includes “Captain America: Winter Soldier” scheduled for an upcoming Thursday, followed by “The Princess Diaries” on August 6. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets to sit on the field, but chairs and outside food or beverages are not permitted, and the venue’s standard bag policy will be enforced for security reasons.

Concessions will be available inside the stadium from various vendors, allowing guests to purchase snacks and drinks during the event. Admission to the screenings is free; however, advance reservations are required to attend.

Audi Field, home to the D.C. soccer team, is located at 100 Potomac Avenue SW, within the Navy Yard neighborhood. Organizers have positioned the event as a distinctive way to experience summer movie nights in an urban setting, combining the atmosphere of live sports with cinematic entertainment.
