David Moyes declined to comment on the future of Jack Grealish amid mounting speculation linking the Manchester City midfielder with a return to Everton. Reports have suggested that Grealish favors a move back to Everton should City decide to let him go before the transfer window closes.

Speaking at his weekly press conference ahead of Everton’s match against Bournemouth, Moyes emphasized the club’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the squad, without confirming any specific targets. “We are in the recruitment business and we are looking to see if we can bring some players in if possible,” he said. “But there’s no guarantee and to name one person would be wrong.”

Regarding Grealish, Moyes acknowledged the player’s past contributions to Everton but declined to elaborate on transfer rumors. “Jack’s not at our club. He was brilliant for us, a great boy, but not for us to talk about because he’s at another club,” he added.

Moyes also addressed speculation surrounding Iliman Ndiaye, another player reportedly attracting interest from Manchester City. The Everton manager dismissed suggestions that the club is keen to offload key players, stating, “We’re certainly not in a hurry to sell our best players.”

On the team’s current form and squad availability, Moyes noted that James Garner could be pushing for a starting position following a strong showing in the recent Carabao Cup victory over Preston North End. Meanwhile, Tim Iroegbunam remains sidelined due to injury.

Looking ahead to the upcoming fixture, Moyes expressed his desire to build on Everton’s strong performance on the road during the 2025-26 season, when the club finished seventh in away matches. “We hope that we can follow it up and do as well as we did last year,” he said. “We always travelled with a great support and they got some really good days last year.”
