Raina Heverin, a 44-year-old mother from Liverpool, has shared her story after surviving a 40-foot fall from a balcony while sleepwalking during a family trip to Paris. The incident, which occurred in April 2025, resulted in a serious brain hemorrhage that required Heverin to spend seven months in the hospital recovering.

Heverin, who is a mother of two and a fitness enthusiast, sustained significant injuries from the fall. Following her recovery, she authored a book aimed at helping her children understand the nature and impact of her injuries. In her message to others facing difficult circumstances, Heverin encouraged perseverance, urging people "not to give up" and to "keep going."

The book serves both as a personal reflection on her experience and a resource for her family to navigate the challenges linked to her injury. Heverin’s journey highlights the potential dangers of sleepwalking and the importance of resilience in the face of serious trauma.
