Comedian and influencer Munya Chawawa has been appointed as Oatly’s first Diplomat of Taste, marking a new promotional role for the oat-based beverage company. The announcement was made in conjunction with the opening of The Oatly Embassy, located in West London.

To celebrate the launch, Chawawa arrived in a three-car motorcade through central London, drawing attention to the brand’s latest initiative. The Oatly Embassy serves as both a café and an experiential venue, featuring complimentary oat-based drink samples and a dedicated Museum of Modern Oats, which offers visitors a chance to explore the history and production of oat products.

Operating on Fridays and Saturdays, the Embassy aims to engage consumers by combining entertainment with education about oat beverages. Chawawa, known for his comedic work and social media presence, commented on his new role, noting his enthusiasm for both oats and diplomacy.

The company’s move signals a creative shift in marketing strategies for plant-based drink brands, leveraging influencers to reach broader audiences while highlighting the sustainable and health-focused aspects of oat milk products. The Oatly Embassy represents a physical space where customers can interact with the brand beyond traditional retail settings.
