KHASAB — The Musandam Governor’s Office convened a workshop on Sunday to conduct the final review of the governorate’s strategic risk document, a key step toward its formal approval. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional preparedness and refine risk management strategies to improve governance and response capabilities.

Khadija bint Ali al Harfi, head of the Risk Management Department at the Musandam Governor’s Office, described the workshop as a critical phase in finalizing the document. She emphasized its role in enhancing the governorate’s readiness and boosting its ability to address potential risks and challenges through a structured and scientific approach.

The session also highlighted Musandam’s strategic significance, noting its distinctive geographical position overlooking the Strait of Hormuz. This location underscores the importance of robust risk management practices to safeguard both regional stability and local development.

Officials involved in the workshop reviewed various risk factors and discussed methodologies to integrate them effectively into decision-making processes, aiming to strengthen the governorate’s institutional capacity to anticipate and manage future threats.
