Myanmar opened their campaign at the inaugural FIFA U15 World Cup and Football Festival with a 3-0 victory over Guam on October 24 in Azerbaijan. The tournament, which features youth teams from more than 190 countries, marks FIFA’s first edition of this age-group competition.
Myanmar’s U15 squad is competing in Group W, alongside Ghana, the Bahamas, Guam, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. Following their opening win, Myanmar is scheduled to face Ghana at 2 p.m. Myanmar Standard Time on October 25.
The team is led by head coach U Aung Zaw Myo, who is guiding the young players as they seek to advance through the group stage. The FIFA U15 World Cup provides an international platform for emerging talent to gain experience against global peers at an early stage in their development.
