A cultural dance troupe from Myanmar participated in the 2nd Cultures of the World Festival held in Hanoi, Vietnam, from October 1 to 4, 2026. The event took place at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel and was jointly organized by Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Hanoi People’s Committee.

The festival’s opening ceremony featured prominent attendees, including Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Deputy Prime Minister, and Ms. Lam Thi Phuong Thanh, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Diplomats and representatives from 50 embassies and international organizations based in Hanoi also took part in the event.

A total of 45 cultural booths, 35 food booths, and 19 international art troupes highlighted the diverse offerings of the festival. The Myanmar Embassy in Hanoi contributed through its cultural dance troupe, which took part in the event’s cultural presentations and closed the festival with a traditional dance performance.

In addition to the performances, families of Myanmar Embassy staff and members of the Office of the Military Attaché—representing the Army, Navy, and Air Force—managed a cultural booth. This booth displayed traditional Myanmar attire and jade jewelry, while providing visitors with tourism information, brochures, and video documentaries about Myanmar. A separate food booth featured traditional Myanmar cuisine alongside Myanmar beer, both promoted and sold during the festival.

The event aimed to foster cultural exchange and showcase the rich heritage of participating countries, with Myanmar’s presence illustrating its ongoing engagement in international cultural diplomacy.
