Datuk Nashrudin Elias, widely known as Nash, sustained serious injuries requiring 52 stitches after a motorcycle collision in Shah Alam on Wednesday night. The 66-year-old rock singer was riding home following his attendance at Isyak prayers and a religious talk when his motorcycle collided with a car amid rainy conditions.

According to Nash, the accident occurred as he was returning from a surau near his residence. He suffered 24 stitches to his head and another 28 to his left forehead. Witnesses at the scene promptly assisted him and called for emergency services. He was initially taken to Hospital Shah Alam before being transferred to a private medical facility for further treatment. Nash continues to experience swelling around his eyes.

Nash is best known as the former lead vocalist of the band Lefthanded and for his hit song "Pada Syurga Di Wajahmu." Among those who visited him during his hospital stay was Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

Separately, concerns have been raised for an 11-year-old girl from Johor Baru with a rare congenital heart condition requiring constant medical monitoring. Nur Auni Mardhiyah Ahmad Hanafi suffers from ectopia cordis, a defect where the heart develops outside the chest cavity. In addition to this, she also has a cleft palate and skull deformities.

Her mother, Nur Diayana Mohd Azahar, 34, said that even minor illnesses such as coughs or fevers necessitate immediate medical attention due to Auni’s low oxygen levels and susceptibility to fatigue. Doctors have advised against surgical options to reposition the heart, citing the high risks involved. Her father, Hanafi Zolikiflfly, 40, works as a cleaner in Singapore earning a monthly income of S$800 (approximately RM2,554). The family continues to manage the complex health needs of their daughter with close medical supervision.
