National Finance, a leading finance and leasing company in Oman, has launched a new initiative aimed at advancing women’s leadership within the organization. The company introduced the Irtiqaa Women’s Leadership Development Programme on Omani Women’s Day, reflecting its commitment to supporting the professional growth and leadership potential of its female workforce.

Irtiqaa is designed to enhance leadership competencies among women employees and prepare them to take on more significant roles within the company. The programme targets women holding supervisory, specialist, managerial, and comparable professional positions, providing participants with a structured, intensive curriculum to develop their leadership skills and navigate the complexities of modern business environments.

The first cohort will consist of 15 women selected to participate in a comprehensive learning journey. The programme includes six integrated modules aimed at improving individual effectiveness, leadership capability, and overall organizational impact. Key areas of focus include self-awareness and emotional intelligence, time and energy management, assertiveness and conflict resolution, fostering inclusive team collaboration, recognizing bias and ethical decision-making, and cultivating executive presence and strategic leadership.

Specifically, the module on ‘Self-Leadership & Emotional Mastery’ seeks to build participants’ emotional intelligence and personal efficiency. ‘Managing Time, Energy & Flow’ aims to develop skills related to prioritization, resilience, and sustaining high performance. The ‘Assertiveness & Conflict Resolution’ module prepares women to handle difficult conversations and provide constructive feedback effectively. ‘Optimising Diverse Teams’ focuses on leveraging diverse perspectives to enhance team collaboration and inclusion.

Additional components address overcoming biases and promoting ethical leadership, equipping participants to make principled decisions and exercise sound judgment. The final module, ‘Leading with Influence,’ is designed to strengthen executive presence and strategic confidence, empowering women to create a meaningful leadership impact within the organization.

National Finance has emphasized that the Irtiqaa programme forms part of its broader strategy to cultivate an inclusive workplace culture that nurtures talent, unlocks potential, and supports continuous professional development. Through initiatives like this, the company aims to build a future-ready management pipeline and foster sustained growth in a rapidly evolving business landscape.
