The National Planning Council, in collaboration with the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, convened its periodic Planning, Quality and Innovation Forum on September 28, bringing together directors responsible for planning, quality, and innovation across various government entities. The event aimed to strengthen coordination and enhance the implementation of national development strategies.

Dr. Abdulaziz bin Nasser bin Mubarak al-Khalifa, President of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau and Secretary-General of the National Planning Council, opened the forum with a keynote address. He emphasized the critical role that planning, quality, and innovation departments play in bridging national priorities with practical implementation at the institutional level. Dr. al-Khalifa reiterated the Council’s commitment to supporting these entities to ensure that their efforts remain fully aligned with Qatar’s strategic objectives.

Addressing the forum participants, Dr. al-Khalifa highlighted the importance of the event amid ongoing efforts to achieve the Qatar National Vision 2030. He underscored the significance of the Third National Development Strategy 2024-2030, particularly its core pillars that prioritize innovation and the development of national capabilities. According to him, advancing national development requires adopting modern execution methods that provide comprehensive oversight, allowing for precise prioritization and efficient progress measurement.

He noted that these modern mechanisms rely on institutionalizing unified data exchange standards between government bodies and the National Planning Council to facilitate streamlined communication and coordination.

The forum also included presentations detailing the priorities outlined in the Third National Development Strategy and their implications for government entities. Discussions covered the updated Strategy Implementation Governance Guide, which is designed to assist entities in aligning their efforts with ongoing developments under the strategy. Additionally, the role of the "Q-Execute" System was explored as a tool to support the operationalization and monitoring of strategic initiatives across government sectors.

Overall, the forum served as a platform to reinforce collaborative efforts among government departments in support of Qatar’s long-term development goals and the effective execution of national plans.
