The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) of Qatar was awarded the Recognised for Excellence – 4 Stars designation by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) in a ceremony held recently. The event was attended by HE Engineer Abdullahman bin Ali al-Farhaidi al-Malki, president of NCSA, Russell Longmuir, CEO of EFQM, as well as senior officials, executives, and agency personnel.

This accolade marks a key accomplishment in NCSA’s efforts to institutionalize a culture of excellence. It highlights the agency’s effective implementation of the EFQM Excellence Model, which aligns with international best practices aimed at improving organizational performance and sustainability. The award underscores NCSA’s focus on continuously advancing its institutional framework and achieving strategic objectives related to Qatar’s goals in cybersecurity leadership.

NCSA emphasized that the recognition reflects its long-term commitment to excellence through quality, innovation, and ongoing improvement. The agency noted that the award is the outcome of a clear strategic vision supported by collective efforts across all levels of the organization. Russell Longmuir praised NCSA for the progress made in applying the EFQM Excellence Model. He described the award as confirmation of the maturity of the agency’s institutional structure and its dedication to adopting best practices that drive sustainable development.

The ceremony included the official presentation of the Recognised for Excellence award, as well as recognition of the organizations and individuals who contributed to the success of the institutional excellence initiative. The consultancy firm OISSG Consultancy, along with several agency leaders, departments, and employees who played significant roles, were acknowledged for their contributions.
