The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) is set to unveil a new interactive data management application called ‘Artaj’ on June 24, 2026, in Muscat. This platform is designed to act as a central coordination portal for Oman’s administrative apparatus, consolidating various government data into a unified national system.

The launch of Artaj is part of NCSI’s broader strategy to enhance the country’s statistical infrastructure by integrating advanced technologies to support development initiatives and promote evidence-based policymaking, in alignment with the objectives outlined in Oman Vision 2040.

Artaj aims not only to serve government agencies by facilitating the professional exchange of reports, studies, publications, and project data but also to provide a dynamic and educational interface to increase statistical awareness, particularly among schoolchildren. The application will also enable the dissemination of survey results and public opinion polls, contributing to greater transparency and public engagement.

By centralizing data resources, the initiative seeks to strengthen coordination across state entities and improve access to reliable statistical information, which is expected to reinforce governance and development planning throughout the Sultanate.
