Needham Market secured a replay after a dramatic 3-3 draw with Braintree Town in a closely contested match on Sunday. The game, held at Needham Market’s home ground, featured several key moments that kept spectators on edge until the final whistle.

The home side posed an early threat, with Tevan Allen forcing a save from Braintree’s goalkeeper George Barrett, who is currently on loan from Ipswich Town. Within minutes, Needham goalkeeper James Bradbrook responded with a crucial stop, denying Alfie Matthews’ free kick. Needham appeared to take the lead in the 26th minute, but their goal was disallowed for offside.

Shortly before halftime, Needham Market earned a penalty after Kyle Hammond was fouled inside the box. Dan Morphew converted the spot-kick, placing the ball firmly in the net to give the hosts a 1-0 advantage at the break.
