A new communication has emerged claiming to have information about the kidnappers of Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old woman abducted from her Tucson, Arizona home on February 1. The letter, sent to TMZ, asserts that the sender knows the identities of the individuals involved and possesses a video showing Guthrie with the lead kidnapper on what the sender describes as likely her last day alive. The message also offers additional details, including names, addresses, and photographs of the suspects, in exchange for one Bitcoin—currently valued at around $60,000.

The person behind the note insists a phone containing the video and other evidence is kept in a secure but accessible location, promising to provide the password and information “on a silver platter” upon payment. The sender also reportedly dismissed prior tips, clarifying they were not the individual who recently contacted a volunteer group in Mexico regarding a potential burial site near Nogales, which authorities had investigated without result.

TMZ founder Harvey Levin, who shared the communication publicly, confirmed that the correspondence is from the same source who previously sent multiple emails including ransom demands. Levin emphasized the outlet has forwarded the latest message to the FBI. He also publicly challenged the writer to provide verifiable proof, such as a screen capture of the alleged abductors, to demonstrate the legitimacy of the claim and avoid causing further distress to the Guthrie family.

Authorities have established that two suspects are directly involved in Guthrie’s abduction, according to the message and prior reports, though the writer suggested there may be multiple kidnappers. The sender’s gender remains unclear, with some officials suspecting the possibility the author might be female, a detail the writer apparently disputes.

The Guthrie family has previously announced a $1 million reward for information leading to Nancy Guthrie’s safe return or the arrest of those responsible. This is in addition to a federal reward of $100,000 and other contributions, including an anonymous donor’s $100,000 towards a local tip line.

Law enforcement continues to investigate the case amid efforts to corroborate any new information as they pursue leads in the high-profile disappearance of a prominent figure closely connected to national media.
