Indian nationals applying for passport, visa, and consular services in the United Arab Emirates have been urged to use their own email addresses and contact numbers when booking appointments to avoid delays or rejection of their applications. This advisory was issued by the newly operational Indian Consular Application Centres (ICACs), which assumed responsibility for these services on July 22.
The ICACs, managed by Alhind Tours & Travels under an official outsourcing agreement by the Government of India, have introduced new procedures for accessing consular services. Applicants are now required to book appointments through the dedicated consular website, consularsawaaiunaae.com, where new appointment slots are released twice daily at 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.
The advisory emphasizes that the email ID and phone number provided during appointment booking must belong to the applicant. These details will be verified at the time of application submission, and any discrepancy could result in processing delays or outright rejection. Applicants are being asked to carefully review their contact information and supporting documents before completing their appointment requests.
Additionally, applicants whose appointments were made by family members are reminded to carry valid proof of their relationship when attending their appointment. This procedure is intended to ensure the accuracy and security of all applications processed through the centers.
The Indian Consular Application Centres now handle a full range of services, including passports, visas, consular assistance, and document attestation for Indian residents in the UAE. The move follows the Government of India’s initiative to outsource these functions as part of efforts to streamline service delivery and improve appointment management.
