The contract encompasses all four Test matches between the All Blacks and the Springboks, as well as New Zealand’s tour games against South African provincial teams including the Stormers, Sharks, Bulls, and Lions over the next five weeks.

The deal forms part of a broader partnership between Sky and Sanzaar, the governing organization overseeing major southern hemisphere rugby unions from New Zealand, South Africa, Australia, and Argentina. It extends through to the end of 2030 and represents a substantial increase in broadcasting fees paid by Sky.

Beyond the current tour, the agreement grants Sky the rights to air the Springboks’ visit to New Zealand in 2030, Rugby Championship tournaments in 2027, 2028, and 2029, and the prestigious Bledisloe Cup matches contested between Australia’s Wallabies and New Zealand’s All Blacks. Coverage will also include other key international Tests staged in the southern hemisphere, such as Argentina’s hosting of South Africa later this month.

This expanded broadcast arrangement highlights the continued importance and commercial value of southern hemisphere rugby in the UK market and ensures comprehensive live coverage of high-profile matches involving leading rugby nations for the duration of the contract.
