Newcastle United has secured the signing of Ivory Coast forward Bazoumana Toure in a transfer reportedly worth £43 million. The 20-year-old attacker joins the club from German Bundesliga side Hoffenheim and has agreed to a long-term contract at St James’ Park.
Toure, who featured three times for Ivory Coast at the recent World Cup, expressed enthusiasm about his move to the Premier League. “It was my dream since I was young to play in the Premier League for a big team like Newcastle,” he said. Describing the club as “like a family,” Toure added that he intends to give his best effort every day for the team.
The signing follows Newcastle’s recent £100 million sale of midfielder Sandro Tonali, a move that has bolstered the club’s transfer budget. Newcastle manager Eddie Howe commented on the new acquisition, highlighting the forward’s potential. “We feel that he’s a player with a really high ceiling – he’s somebody who we believe can offer us something different,” Howe said. “He also has a lot of potential to unlock and we’re really looking forward to working with him.”
Toure’s arrival is seen as part of Newcastle’s broader strategy to strengthen their squad with young talent capable of making an impact in the Premier League. The club’s management and coaching staff are optimistic that the young forward will develop further under their guidance.
