Australia’s leading political news channel, News24, is expanding its reach internationally with the launch of two new opinion programs aimed at audiences in the United States and the United Kingdom. The move marks the network’s first major foray into global news content, supported by new studios and correspondents in key overseas markets.

This week, News24 will debut Made in America, hosted by Elizabeth Pipko, a former Republican National Committee spokeswoman and political operative based in Dallas, Texas. The program will focus on American political issues and cultural commentary, streaming on News24’s YouTube channel from its Dallas studio. Shortly thereafter, Samara Gill’s show Unleashed will premiere from News24’s newly established London studios, targeting viewers across the UK and Europe with a focus on regional political discourse.

Both programs will adopt News24’s established “digital originals” video format, which has garnered substantial online followings for the network’s Sydney-based presenters Danica De Giorgio and Gabriella Power. Unlike previous shows primarily geared toward an Australian audience, Pipko and Gill’s new offerings will prioritize engaging viewers within their respective countries to grow News24’s global audience.

The expansion includes the introduction of a UK bureau staffed by correspondents Stas Butler, formerly of News24 Asia, and Aspen Blomfield, previously a Hobart reporter. Coverage of Asia will be led from Taiwan by Reece Ayers, a former TaiwanPlus journalist. This international investment aims to enhance News24’s presence and competitiveness in the global digital news market.

News24 chief executive Paul Whittaker expressed confidence that the international initiatives would further elevate the network’s profile as a prominent global news voice. “We are evolving from Australia’s first 24-hour news channel into a digital-first platform tailored for today’s globally connected audiences,” Whittaker said. He noted that the channel already ranks as the eighth most viewed English-language news channel on YouTube, with over 8.2 billion views, and anticipates further growth through this expansion.

Pipko, who was appointed to the US Holocaust Memorial Council by former President Donald Trump in 2025, emphasized her commitment to addressing divisive political issues in the United States. She described patriotism and national pride as central themes of her program, criticizing what she views as a decline in respect for American history and values. Pipko also highlighted her intention to incorporate humor and sarcasm to engage viewers more effectively.

Similarly, Gill characterized the UK political landscape as fraught with internal conflicts among parties claiming to champion the nation’s future. She promised a direct, no-nonsense approach to political analysis on Unleashed, aiming to provide audiences with clear, timely commentary that cuts through the perceived dullness of traditional political broadcasting.

These launches underscore News24’s strategic shift toward international journalism, blending local perspectives with the network’s digital expertise to capture and cultivate a broader, global audience in the competitive online news environment.
