National Investments Company (NIC) has been named Best Investment Bank in Kuwait for Equity Capital Markets by Euromoney for the third consecutive year, reflecting its prominent role in the country’s financial and investment sector. The award, announced in 2026 as part of Euromoney’s Awards for Excellence, recognizes NIC’s leadership in managing public offerings and executing investment transactions that contribute to the development of Kuwait’s capital market.
Euromoney’s evaluation process considers a variety of qualitative and quantitative factors, including innovation, service quality, institutional performance, and input from industry experts. The accolade is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious in the global financial sector, drawing on over five decades of experience.
Bashar Khan, Managing Director of NIC’s Alternatives and Investment Banking Division, said the award underscores the company’s strong expertise in Equity Capital Markets and its commitment to advising issuers on strategically structured offerings. He emphasized NIC’s focus on disciplined price discovery, investor engagement, and maintaining high execution standards to support successful market outcomes.
NIC has played a key role in several high-profile transactions, including Kuwait’s notable Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) over recent years. Among these, the IPO of Action Energy Company stands out, achieving a subscription coverage rate of five times the offering size and generating demand totaling approximately $900 million. This offering attracted significant participation from both local and international institutional investors, including those from the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, highlighting the increasing appeal of Kuwait’s capital market. Action Energy Company was listed on Boursa Kuwait on December 17, 2025, and its shares gained roughly 13% during the ten trading sessions following the listing.
Khan highlighted NIC’s efforts to elevate market execution standards through professional pricing mechanisms and comprehensive introductory sessions for investors. These initiatives aim to enhance transparency and improve interactions between issuing companies and investors, facilitating more efficient subscription results.
The company also demonstrated strong capabilities in managing complex, multi-stakeholder processes involving regulators, legal and auditing advisors, issuers, and market participants to ensure transactions comply with regulatory requirements and timelines.
Looking ahead, NIC plans to expand its Equity Capital Markets presence by supporting transactions across sectors such as retail, consumer goods, education, and technology, alongside providing advisory services for capital increases in the transportation and real estate industries.
Khan noted that the company’s achievements reinforce its position as a leading provider of investment advisory services and reflect its commitment to creating value for clients and investors. As a prominent investment institution within Kuwait and the broader region, NIC aims to continue delivering integrated and innovative investment solutions grounded in market expertise, with an emphasis on sustainable growth, governance, and transparency.
