Thirteen people were injured in a shuttle bus accident at Newark Liberty International Airport early Monday, according to authorities. The vehicle collided with a concrete barrier on the Terminal B Departures Level 3 roadway at approximately 3 a.m., Port Authority police reported.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the crash and transported the injured passengers to nearby hospitals. Officials confirmed that all injuries were non-life-threatening.

The driver of the shuttle bus was issued a citation for careless driving, sources familiar with the incident said. Further details on the cause of the crash have not been released as investigations continue.
