A 1978 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II once owned by musician Noel Gallagher is set to be auctioned in November, with estimates suggesting it could fetch around £30,000. The classic car was a gift from his record label’s boss following the success of Oasis’s second album and became a notable symbol during the band’s peak years in the 1990s.

Gallagher, who is now 59, was known for displaying the vehicle at various high-profile events, including the 1997 Cool Britannia party hosted by then-Prime Minister Tony Blair at 10 Downing Street. Despite the car’s prominence, Gallagher never drove the Rolls-Royce himself, as he has yet to pass his driving test, a fact he has occasionally referenced with humor. He remarked that while his brother Liam received a Rolex watch, he received a Rolls-Royce — a gift he could not personally use behind the wheel.

The car was sold by Gallagher in 2012 and is scheduled to be auctioned by Iconic Auctioneers in Ashorne, Warwickshire, on November 14. The upcoming sale has attracted attention both for the car’s classic status and its association with the prominent Britpop figure.
