Lando Norris has committed to remain with McLaren Formula One through the 2030 season, following a contract extension announced over the weekend. The reigning world champion agreed to a new multi-year deal that includes an option for additional seasons beyond 2030, ensuring his place with the British team for the foreseeable future.

The announcement was made during an open day event at the McLaren Technology Centre, where Norris was also presented with a symbolic gift: the MCL39, the car he drove during his championship-winning campaign. Norris described McLaren as “my home” and expressed satisfaction with the long-term agreement.

This extension further solidifies McLaren’s driver lineup, which last year secured the services of Australian driver Oscar Piastri through an extended contract. Together, Norris and Piastri form a young and competitive pairing that McLaren aims to build around as it seeks to challenge for titles in the coming years.

The new deal reflects both Norris’s commitment to McLaren and the team’s confidence in his role as a key figure in its Formula One strategy.
