Nvidia Corp. is set to establish an employee-funded political action committee (PAC) as part of its efforts to increase its influence on U.S. policy, according to a source familiar with the company’s plans. The organization, to be named NVPAC, will enable Nvidia employees to contribute to political candidates aligned with the company’s policy interests.

Political action committees are commonly used by corporations to financially support candidates and policies that reflect their business goals. Nvidia’s move positions it alongside other major technology firms such as Meta Platforms Inc. and Alphabet Inc.’s Google, both of which maintain PACs to shape the political landscape through campaign contributions.

Currently, Nvidia executives have already been active donors. Federal Election Commission records show that Nvidia executives Gavin Sherry and Sundeep Madra contributed a combined total of $443,000 to the Republican National Committee on June 24. This underscores the company’s growing engagement in political financing ahead of establishing the employee-based committee.

Nvidia has not publicly commented on the formation of NVPAC. The company’s decision to formalize a PAC reflects a broader trend within the technology sector to participate more directly in the political process, particularly as the industry faces increasing scrutiny and regulatory challenges in the United States.
