Kuwait Municipality reported a notable decline in the number of land encroachments on state property, attributing the drop to increased public awareness and better understanding of municipal regulations. Mohammed Al-Jalawi, a member of the central team at the office of the Director General of the Municipality, highlighted the positive response from both citizens and residents to the ongoing "Kuwait is More Beautiful Without Encroachments" campaign.

Al-Jalawi noted that much of the removal of unauthorized structures and fencing had been undertaken voluntarily by property owners and residents. He emphasized that the municipality’s monitoring and removal operations continue daily across several governorates through dedicated field teams.

The campaign focuses primarily on addressing the most visible forms of encroachment, including the construction of green fences around house setbacks and the building of diwaniyas—traditional meeting places—on sidewalks. Al-Jalawi also expressed appreciation for the collaboration of multiple government agencies that have been involved since the inception of the campaign. These include the Ministries of Electricity and Water and Renewable Energy, Interior, and the Environment Public Authority.

The coordinated efforts aim to preserve public spaces and ensure compliance with municipal laws, reflecting a broader governmental commitment to maintaining orderly urban development across Kuwait.
