Ogilvy Group Sri Lanka emerged as a leading winner at the Dragons of Sri Lanka 2026 Awards, securing a total of nine accolades, including two Gold Dragons, one Silver Dragon, and six Black Dragons. The awards ceremony, organized by 4As Sri Lanka, marked the third edition of the festival and featured more than 50 agencies and corporate entrants, making it one of the country’s most competitive marketing communications events.
Ogilvy Digital was the standout performer within the group, accounting for eight of the nine awards. This included a Gold Dragon in the Business & Trade Marketing category and a Silver Dragon for Innovative Idea or Concept. The agency also received six Black Dragons across a diverse set of categories such as Innovative Idea or Concept, Business & Trade Marketing, Content Creation, Small Budget, Event or Experiential, and Brand Trial or Sales Generation.
Sajith Weerasinghe, Chief Operating Officer of Ogilvy Digital, attributed the success to the agency’s broad expertise, stating that the awards “reflect the breadth of capabilities we’ve built across strategy, creative, content, experience design, technology and performance marketing.”
The second Gold Dragon for the Ogilvy Group came from Phoenix Ogilvy for its campaign in the Product Launch or Re-Launch category. The project involved revitalizing American Premium Water, one of Sri Lanka’s pioneering bottled drinking water brands. The campaign aimed to refresh the brand’s identity while modernizing its positioning to appeal to a new generation, all while honoring its 30-year heritage.
Siddhartha Roy, Chief Operating Officer at Phoenix Ogilvy, described the campaign as “a new blueprint for growth” that redefined the brand’s positioning, proposition, and visual identity, executed through design, packaging, and storytelling elements.
The Dragons of Sri Lanka Awards continue to serve as a benchmark for creative and strategic excellence within the country’s marketing communications industry, highlighting agencies that successfully blend inventive concepts with measurable business outcomes.
