Old Doha Port (ODP) has unveiled an extensive schedule of summer events and activities designed to attract residents and visitors throughout the upcoming season, reinforcing its status as a leading waterfront destination in Qatar.

The programme includes a variety of sports, leisure, and maritime experiences scheduled to take place over the summer months. Among the ongoing activities is a weekly running event held every Tuesday, alongside targeted wellness and fitness sessions. Notably, women’s fitness classes will be offered in waterfront locations such as the City Exhibition area and in front of the aquarium at the Cruise Terminal, providing unique outdoor environments for exercise.

To enhance visitor convenience during the hotter months, ODP will allow vehicle access to its internal road network in Mina District. This move aims to improve accessibility to the destination’s diverse offerings, including restaurants, cafés, retail outlets, and other attractions, thereby reducing walking distances on site.

Additionally, the port will introduce valet parking services and provide complimentary golf cart transportation within Mina Park and Mina District. These measures are intended to facilitate comfortable and efficient movement around the site’s primary areas.

Highlighting its maritime heritage, Old Doha Port will offer an array of water-based recreational options at the Container Yard, including fishing, surfing, jet skiing, and other watersports. Dedicated fishing platforms along the waterfront at Mina Park, situated opposite the Fish Market, will give anglers the chance to engage in traditional recreational fishing while enjoying views of Doha’s skyline.

Through its expanded summer offering, Old Doha Port seeks to deliver a vibrant, accessible environment for families, sports enthusiasts, and tourists. By combining leisure and wellness activities with dining, shopping, and maritime experiences, the port aims to celebrate Qatar’s coastal heritage while supporting the country’s evolving tourism sector.
