Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan have announced a new collaboration on a reimagined version of Rodrigo’s song "Expectations." The updated track, alongside its accompanying music video, is scheduled for release on Friday. This project marks Chappell Roan’s first collaborative effort with another artist.

The two were recently photographed together on the set of the music video, highlighting their joint involvement in the release. To further promote the song, they plan to issue it as a seven-inch vinyl single for fans.

In addition to the release, there is speculation that Rodrigo and Roan may perform the song live together. Roan is set to headline several charity fundraiser shows in Los Angeles next week, and observers suggest that Rodrigo may appear on stage with her during these events.
