Olivia Rodrigo has announced the launch of a new music festival featuring an all-women lineup, set to take place on August 29 in Irvine, California. The event, titled Daisy Chain Fields, will showcase performances by a range of female artists, including Chappell Roan, Doechii, Stevie Nicks, K-pop group Katseye, British singer-songwriter Rachel Chinouriri, and Canadian musician Sarah McLachlan.
The 23-year-old singer-songwriter, known for her breakthrough single "Drivers License," described the lineup as composed of her "heroes and friends." She emphasized the festival’s mission to use music and community as catalysts for meaningful change. All net proceeds from Daisy Chain Fields will be donated to organizations that support and advocate for the rights and advancement of women and girls.
Rodrigo announced the festival on Monday through an Instagram post featuring the official event poster. The artwork includes a flower made from colorful pins, one of which carries the slogan "Bans Off Our Bodies," referencing a campaign advocating for abortion rights in the United States.
“I’ve had a dream of doing this festival for years and I am so ecstatic it’s finally coming true,” Rodrigo wrote in her post, expressing enthusiasm about the project. She reiterated her belief that joy, community, and music can serve as powerful drivers for social progress.
The announcement follows the recent release of Rodrigo’s third studio album, You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love, further establishing her influence in contemporary pop music. Daisy Chain Fields represents her latest venture into creating platforms that highlight women’s voices within the music industry while supporting related social causes.
