Olivia Rodrigo’s first all-women music festival, Daisy Chain Fields, has raised nearly £15 million in funds to support charities dedicated to advancing the rights and wellbeing of women and girls. The event took place on Saturday in Irvine, California, and featured performances by a diverse lineup including Chappell Roan, Doechii, Rachel Chinouriri, and Stevie Nicks.

The 23-year-old singer-songwriter, known for her hit single “Driver’s License,” spearheaded the festival as a platform to celebrate female artists while simultaneously raising money for important causes. Initial fundraising efforts generated $10 million (£7.3 million), which was subsequently doubled through a donation from American philanthropist Melinda French Gates.

Rodrigo emphasized the importance of empowering women with the resources and opportunities necessary to determine their own futures. She highlighted that enabling women to live healthy lives free from violence and discrimination represents a powerful means of driving positive social change worldwide.

The proceeds from Daisy Chain Fields will be directed to organizations that advocate for women and girls, reflecting the festival’s mission to combine music and activism. As an inaugural event, it marks a significant step in Rodrigo’s efforts to use her platform in support of gender equality and social justice.
