Bromsgrove Sporting secured a narrow victory over Anstey Nomads in a closely contested match, with captain Ollie Harrison’s early goal proving decisive. The match took place on a recent fixture, with Bromsgrove starting strongly as Brad Bood tested the Anstey goalkeeper Harley Price with an early effort.
Shortly before the 15-minute mark, Harrison capitalised on a cross from Bood to score, sending the ball past Price despite a slight deflection. The goal gave Bromsgrove the advantage, and the home side maintained pressure as the game progressed.
Anstey Nomads responded with Tendai Chitiza coming close to equalising, but Bromsgrove’s experienced goalkeeper Tony Breeden made a crucial save to preserve the lead. The Nomads intensified their attacks as the first half continued, seeking to find a breakthrough.
Just before halftime, after a sustained period of effort, the Nomads managed to level the score through Simms, whose first-time strike found the far-right corner following a series of saves from Bromsgrove’s Jordan Eastham.
In the closing stages, Breeden was called into action again, making several important stops to keep Bromsgrove’s goal intact. Despite late pressure from Anstey, Bromsgrove held firm to secure progression into the next round of the competition.
