Salim bin Saud al Habsi presented his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Austria during a formal ceremony held in Vienna on Tuesday. The presentation was made to Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen.
During the meeting, Ambassador al Habsi conveyed greetings from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to President Van der Bellen, extending wishes for the Austrian leader’s continued health and happiness, as well as for ongoing progress and prosperity for the people of Austria. In response, President Van der Bellen asked the ambassador to relay his greetings to Sultan Haitham, along with his hopes for the Sultan’s good health and well-being and for the sustained advancement of Oman and its people.
The Austrian president expressed optimism about the future of bilateral relations between Austria and Oman, emphasizing his expectation that ties between the two nations would continue to strengthen and evolve. He highlighted the importance of these relations in serving the mutual interests and aspirations of both countries’ populations.
