Shaikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council of Oman, received a delegation from Libya's High Council of State on Sunday. The delegation was led by Hassan Ali Habib, First Deputy President of the High Council of State.

During the meeting, both parties discussed the ongoing development of bilateral relations between Oman and Libya, emphasizing the historical ties and longstanding bonds shared by the two countries. The discussions focused on identifying ways to strengthen and expand cooperation across various sectors in a manner that benefits the interests of both nations.

Key agenda items included an overview of the roles and responsibilities of Oman's State Council within the legislative framework, highlighting its evolution since its inception and its contributions to the broader development goals of the Sultanate. The Libyan delegation was briefed on the State Council’s competencies and its involvement in supporting Oman’s comprehensive development programs.

In addition to political dialogue, the delegation's visit includes a series of field trips to several institutions and projects throughout Oman.
