The Sultanate of Oman and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka convened the fourth round of political consultations in Muscat on Monday, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation across various sectors. The Omani delegation was led by Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali al Harthy, Under-Secretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs. The Sri Lankan delegation was headed by Aruni Ranaraja, Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism.
During the talks, both sides reviewed the current state of their bilateral relationship and explored opportunities to deepen collaboration in areas such as economic development, investment, tourism, and cultural exchange. The discussions also included an exchange of perspectives on regional and international matters of shared interest.
The participants highlighted the importance of sustaining ongoing dialogue and coordination between their respective foreign ministries. They expressed a commitment to exploring new avenues for partnership in order to bolster their cooperation further.
