The Sultanate of Oman and the United Republic of Tanzania convened their first bilateral consultation meeting in Muscat, aiming to enhance economic cooperation between the two nations. The Omani delegation was led by Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali al Harthi, Under-Secretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, while Tanzania was represented by Denis Lazaro Londo, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade.

During the discussions, the delegations reviewed the current state of bilateral relations and explored opportunities for expanding collaboration in various sectors, including investment, trade, and logistics. Both parties also exchanged perspectives on regional and international matters of mutual interest.

The meeting featured participation from key officials such as Dr. Mohammed bin Ali al Balushi, Head of the Africa Department at the Omani Foreign Ministry, and Maulidah Bwanakheir Hassan, Ambassador of Tanzania to Oman. Additional representatives from both governments attended, underscoring the commitment to fostering a stronger partnership.

This consultation marks a step toward deepening economic ties as Oman and Tanzania seek to leverage their respective strategic positions and resources.
