Oman Club, in partnership with Lamsa Team, recently completed a specialized training course on financial management for sports institutions at the club’s headquarters in Al Khuwair. The program, held on July 25, brought together 37 participants, including men and women involved in sports clubs, teams, youth organizations, and individuals interested in sports administration.

The course aimed to enhance the administrative and financial capabilities within the sports sector, addressing the growing need for improved financial governance and sustainability in sports institutions. Attendees responded positively to the training, highlighting its practical content and relevance to the financial challenges faced by sports organizations.

Hassan Faraj Ibrahim, Financial Officer at Oman Club, led the sessions, presenting modern financial management concepts alongside practical methods tailored for sports entities. The curriculum focused on critical themes such as the objectives and responsibilities inherent in sports financial management, alongside the preparation and analysis of financial statements.

Participants engaged in hands-on exercises that involved preparing and reviewing financial reports, complemented by interactive workshops and open discussions. This approach allowed attendees to translate theoretical knowledge into actionable skills applicable within various sports administrative contexts.

Feedback from the participants indicated that the course enriched their understanding of key areas including budget creation, financial performance evaluation, and sound decision-making in financial management. Many commended the clarity of the instruction and the trainer’s ability to relate financial concepts directly to the operational realities encountered in sports administration.

At the end of the program, attendees were awarded certificates, alongside training materials and reference guides designed to facilitate the application of learned principles in their respective roles.
